The Be-Cause Is Making Waves in the Beauty Industry

March 5, 2011 marks the first Be-Cause charity event – a day that will, for sure, signify a revolution in the beauty industry.

If you haven’t heard already, the Be-Cause, founded by Millennium Software, is a movement to unite those in the beauty industry that are doing more to be recognized in some way.  “When we started this initiative we had no idea how far it would take off” says Robert Maconi, VP of Business Solutions for Millennium Software. “Our intent was to give back to the beauty industry in the form of inspiration.  In return we were inspired by hundreds of beauty professionals that are making waves in their communities.”  This initiative has transformed into a huge celebration supporting a charity relevant to the beauty industry.

The Be-Cause buzz is buzzing loud and clear and gaining the support of industry celebrities everywhere. Robert Cromeans, John Paul Dejoria, Warren Tricomi, Rita Hazan are just a few that are backing the Be-Cause.  Brig Van Osten, winner of Shear Genius 3, and Ted Gibson have already committed to attending the event – who knows how many other celebs will be showing up.

Philip Pelusi, industry stylist & innovator, is providing the space for the event.  The space is no other than the beautiful Tela Studio’s in the meatpacking district of New York City.  So far, the buzz is that the night will include cocktails, a presentation from Philip Pelusi, a word from Be-Cause founder John Harms and gift bags – not sure what else they have up their sleeves.  All proceeds will go to Beauty Changes Lives (BCL), an organization focused on raising funds for scholarship programs to benefit new students entering the beauty industry and provide advanced education programs for licensed beauty professionals.

Are you in with the Be-Cause?  It seems as though it’s the place to be right now.  Exclusive invites will go out in the next few weeks.  Become a part of it on Facebook by searching Be-Cause and be in NYC on March 5, 2011, the day before the IBS show. Mark your calendars and make a difference.
